I am a supporter of the pro-choice movement when it comes to the question of abortion. For me, the thought of returning to the days of illegal back room abortions for women is too difficult to accept.
Having said this, I would never work to suppress the words and thoughts of those who believe abortion is a violation of their belief system.
But while the opponents of abortion are working hard to remove the right of women to choose whether or not to have an abortion, I hope they are spending an equal amount of time working hard to provide the care and needs for the millions of American children who currently live in poverty and without the kind of parenting that is so necessary for children to grow up to become self confident, self sustaining and successful adult American citizens.
