I thought we as a nation had learned something from our challenge with the economic Great Depression and with our battle against the Nazis and their allies, but apparently, I was wrong.
For me, the basic truth about my America is we as a nation are no longer living and behaving like a community pledged to act for the benefit of one and all. And it is this failure, in my opinion, that eventually could tear us apart from within if we don't change our ways.
In my view, we could all learn so much from a reading of history and from looking at the present and how well so many of our allies are doing for their citizens as compared to us.
Many in America talk a good game when it comes to their religious faith, but when it comes to actual action, to our being there for one and all, we ignore this call and choose a selfish road instead.
